Johannesburg: 4-Day Kruger Safari & Panorama Route Tour

Johannesburg

Activity Description

Embark on a 4-day safari from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park. Enjoy guided game drives, explore the Panorama Route, and relax on a sunset cruise.

Full description
Experience the best of South Africa’s wildlife and natural beauty on this 4-Day Greater Kruger Safari and Panorama Route adventure from Johannesburg.

Your journey begins with pickup from O.R. Tambo International Airport or your Johannesburg accommodation before travelling through the scenic province of Mpumalanga to the Kruger region. Upon arrival at Kruger Island Resort, relax and enjoy a complimentary Sunset Champagne Cruise on Da Gama Dam, the perfect introduction to the African bush.

The following day, embark on a full-day safari in the world-famous Kruger National Park. Accompanied by an experienced guide, search for the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – along with giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, hyenas, and a remarkable variety of birdlife.

After your Kruger safari, you stay inside Kruger National Park in a SANParks rest camp chalet (Pretoriuskop, Skukuza, Lower Sabie or Satara). Spend the next two nights in comfortable safari chalet accommodation surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. Sleeping inside the park means you are already in the bush at sunrise, when the animals are most active.

Enjoy guided morning and afternoon game drives as you explore this remarkable reserve. Every drive offers new opportunities to encounter Africa’s iconic wildlife while learning about the ecosystem from knowledgeable local guides.

On your final day, enjoy breakfast before a short morning safari activity. Thereafter, travel along the spectacular Panorama Route, one of South Africa’s most scenic regions. Visit the iconic Three Rondavels and admire the breathtaking views of the Blyde River Canyon before beginning the return journey to Johannesburg.

Combining Kruger National Park, comfortable accommodation, professional guiding, and the Panorama Route, this safari offers the perfect balance of wildlife, scenery, and adventure. Ideal for first-time visitors, couples, solo travellers, photographers, and nature enthusiasts, this experience showcases some of the very best that South Africa has to offer.

Accommodation: 1 night at Kruger Island Resort and 2 nights in a chalet for two inside Kruger National Park (Pretoriuskop, Lower Sabie or Satara).

Meals Included: Dinner on Day 1, breakfast and dinner on Days 2 and 3, and breakfast on Day 4.
